The fantastically rich exhibition Latin America in Construction runs until July 19th at the Museum of Modern Art. The exhibition was put together by curator Barry Bergdoll, with teams of experts from South America. It uncovers many unknown works and the breath of its scope (500 works) in combination with the quality of the exhibition catalogue comes a long way in addressing the Eurocentric and Western bias of the historiography of the Modern Movement. A joy. Exhibition review for Blueprint Magazine.

Review of New Whitney Museum by Renzo Piano Building Workshop

Renzo Piano Whitney_websiteThe new Whitney Museum by Renzo Piano Building Workshop was opened in May 2015 to the public. Long anticipated, and an improvement in terms of square footage and anticipated footfall to the old building by Marcel Breuer on Madison Avenue, I did wonder if certain qualities had not been lost in the process. The review was published in the May issue of Architecture Today.
